Japanese lanterns & WIP wed.





Got a bunch of stuff to do right now but I'll come back later. Until then-here's a piece in progress. I started it to hang above our kings size bed so it's quite long. The lanterns look like they're swinging in the breeze. I'll post a better pic later-Just wanted to get in a WIP today...

Dorothea, I love your lanterns! My DH's first wife was Japanese(now deceased), and he lived and worked in Japan for 5 years. We sport a multi-cultural environment around our house so this would fit right in. May I ask where you found the pattern, I'm guessing it's paperpieced?

Just beautiful! I like your son's fabric too--Japanesey stuff is very interesting to me but unfortunately, Wes idn't fond of it so I call it Tropical and he buys into it.
