Rumblin' in the Jungle and 12x12x4

Just popping in to say Hi! Hope everyone is enjoying the sultry summer. It's hot and humid here. I think that's going to be the weather story for this summer. I posted my challenge piece but I couldn't get a good picture. I think it's because of the stark white background. I tried to fix it with what little picture tech stuff we have and it just got muddy looking or distorted. Anyway, it's done and that's 1 of 314 things done. Cross it off.
We have visitors coming on the weekend and I need to scrape a layer of crud off things around here or I will have to hide my head in shame.
I'm working on a couple more things but mostly, my next few days are going to be filled with clean-up detail and finding something to wear to a party this weekend. It's another graduation party that was delayed a bit and our visitors are coming along to meet some of our friends.
The picture is outside my kitchen window. It's well and truly a jungle out there. I really love it though. So do the chipmunks and squirrels.
Talk to you soon.

I love those Japanese fabric purses! And your jungle. Happy cleaning - you will enjoy it when it is done.

Okay, I'm not usually the envious type, but you got me with this one (the purses, not the jungle). It's so YOU! You must be tickled with it. I know I am.

And if you cook for those guests, believe me they will not notice the layer of crud.

Where does that layer of crud come from, anyway? I was noticing I must have the dirtiest blinds in town. Who has any interest in cleaning? not me.

Hi Dee, I'm here to it say "it's ok", nothing to be sorry about with the PIF challenge" and please don't hurt my friend Dee for not mentioning it in the post!!!
The mystery is solved, I'll post that it needs to be handmade by the challenger and THAT will be THAT!

Love the picture out your window..the plantings are soooo pretty. Anyone would enjoy those, even the furry and feathered ones!
You finished block(?) looks wonderful..and isn't it nice to cross one thing off the list?
I'm doing kind of the same thind, re-purposing some of my UFO's down in zize to smaller quilts and when there are just a few blocks, I'm tossing them into my 'orphans' pile!
It's good to have a goal!! Hugs, Finn

Hi, Dee! just checking in to see what you're up to. Sounds like you're busy. I failed miserably at keeping up with the challenge quilts--what was I thinking to have signed up? This summer has been a whirlwind. We just finished with Shop Hop and it was great but I am pooped. But, no rest for the weary--Jerry and I leave Monday night for Chicago. We are getting a Bernina dealership. Please send up prayers! I am very nervous about it. The learning curve, the competition, the whole owning a business thing, . . . . plus, I'm nervous about flying into O'Hare with all the 'chatter' they keep talking about. I may need to take major medications to get through it! Check in with me when you can.
