quiltathon results & Amish wall quilt

Here are the results of the Quiltathon that Judy Laquidara was having. I am embarrassed to say I didn't know I was quiltathoning until I read Judy's blog this morning and realized I could qualify. So there you are. I made something like twenty blocks for the purple passion and I sewed the Amish Blocks together. Lots more to do on PP and I am contemplating a piano key border for the Amish wall piece. I feel back in the swing a bit. Today it will be easy to continue since the weather is very wet and windy outside. It's always a bit harder when the sun is shining and the temps are nice and springy.
Just t make you smile a little, & what has now become the question of the day, What will I get from HoP today? I will get a roll of thread-just delivered by FedEx. HoP is apparently the gift that keeps on giving...Not!
Hope your day is good and your thread is plentiful!

Things are looking good!

The HoP thing is almost funny now...I have a thing my brother sent me when he was dealing with customer service on this one website and if I need a laugh I just have to get it out. He saved all his emails and their responses. And he can even laugh now, but it sure isn't funny when it is happening to you.

What a sweet doll quilt in your previous post.

I managed to sew a bit in the Quiltathon but it was more like an hour or two versus the whole day. it looks like you got lots done!

I am loving your tale of the thread. It is one of those instances of something that gets worse with every effort to try to get it right! I have no doubt that one of these days a huge box of thread will show up--but not what you ordered, of course!

I love black and white and I think it will kick a** on that quilt! Great quilt... it has so much punch to it. And then you go to the softer side with purple passion... I think the Amish is the passion and the purple passion is more luscious lilac. Two totally different effects. Both beautiful.
