I was looking for something pink to wear for the reunion-whaduyathink? The gloves are too much...right?
Well, I figured I should check in briefly to say hi. I don't have too much time but by way of explanation for my absence, I'm waiting for our house guests to appear, needing to make a trip to the grocery store, still looking for shoes for the reunion(strappy sandals???) and experiencing problems with the aging eyes. I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist coming up that I hope will give me some answers. In the meantime, the vision thing is making me crazy, cranky, and scared. Everything I love to do involves seeing...clearly. Not happening right now. Everything it a little blurry. Almost double vision or a halo around stuff. Maybe cataracts??? Don't know. So that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Needless to say, nothing is happening on the sewing front. I really miss being creative in some way but even writing this is making me feel icky.
SO....I'm basically OK-lots of people with serious problems so I'll quit bitching now and get out the vacuum for one last go round at the dust. Sadly, I'm still able to clean things. Distance is not the problem. Close up is all foggy. I'll let you know how it turns out when I see the Dr. and hopefully a report on the reunion will follow next week. In the meantime, I still get around to visit you all a few times in the week. Everyone seems very busy and creative. Have fun.
Talk to you soon.

Hi Dee!
Just to say hello from a very hot Rome...I'm waiting for my summer holidays....till August! :(
Grazia
It's been pretty slow on the blogging front this summer so you really aren't missing much.
Oh, I do hope you find an answer to your vision problems . . . . something like that is so frustrating. Have a great time at the reunion - the gloves are the perfect touch *s*
Hope you find some sweet, comfy sandals!
And I certainly hope that you find the answers to your vision concerns. Sounds a lot like my parents' symptoms. They both had cataracts surgeries...and haven't looked back since! (No pun intended...but it is kind of fun, yes?!)
Good vibes and hugs....
Good to hear from you. I hope you get good news at the opthamologist. It it's cataracts, you'll be fine. But I can imagine how worrying this is.
I hope it is something simple and easy to solve.
The gloves are not too much and go for strappy just because I can't! Have fun at your reunion and everyone looks better a little fuzzy at our age.
Hi Dee, hope you find just what you are(or aren't)looking for. The eye situation sounds like cataracs are a strong possibility. It's better to check it out and know for sure. Always the possibility of something else. These days catarac surgery is a piece of cake. I've had enough surgeries to know for sure..LOL I'll think good thoughts for you. Big hugs, Finn
I'll add my wishes for a diagnosis of cataracts - what you describe sounds like that and I know that I was very worried with the same symptoms until I went to the eyedoc - and waiting for them to ripen is a big, fat pain.
I hope you are otherwise enjoying our finally-here Summer.
If it is cataracts, have the surgery or surgeries ASAP. I am the world's biggest coward re: medical procedures, but I have to tell you that cataract surgery is a walk in the park, day at the beach, you get the idea. So easy peasy and the results are spectacular! If you need it, get it right away! It is truly a modern miracle!
